Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm With 3,000 Nits Display, 14-Day Battery Launched in China: Specifications and Features

Xiaomi has launched the Watch S5 41mm and Smart Band 11 in China alongside its new Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max smartphones. The company has also unveiled a limited Xiaomi Watch S5 Transparent Edition, featuring a larger 47mm case and a transparent middle frame.

The new Watch S5 41mm combines a compact design with an AMOLED display, extensive health and fitness tracking features, dual-frequency GNSS and Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 software. The smartwatch also offers up to 14 days of battery life, depending on usage.

Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm weighs 36 grams and measures 9.9mm in thickness. It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.

The smartwatch comes with a stainless steel body, ceramic bezel, 24-facet diamond-cut crown and floating lugs. Buyers can choose between calfskin leather and fluororubber straps, while colour options include Ceramic White, Sea Salt Blue and Black.

Xiaomi says the Watch S5 41mm offers hundreds of watch faces and four interactive pet designs associated with time, weather, exercise and stress. Completing the three-ring goal for five consecutive days can also unlock hidden animations.

Up to 14 Days of Battery Life

The Watch S5 41mm is rated to deliver up to 14 days of battery life under maximum usage. With routine monitoring, the battery life is rated at up to eight days, while enabling the always-on display (AOD) reduces the claimed battery life to up to five days.

Xiaomi Watch S5 Transparent Edition

Alongside the standard model, Xiaomi has introduced a limited Transparent Edition with a larger 47mm octagonal case.

The special edition features Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0, a transparent middle frame and a stainless steel bezel. Xiaomi says its body goes through more than 20 manufacturing processes, including 240 minutes of CNC carving and 800 minutes of polishing.The company claims the watch achieves 810 HV0.05 Vickers hardness.

Health and Fitness Features

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm uses a four-light, four-PD heart-rate and blood-oxygen sensor paired with Xiaomi's self-developed heart-rate algorithm 2.0. The company claims 98.4 percent heart-rate accuracy.

Health monitoring features include heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, stress and breathing relaxation tracking. The watch can also monitor sleep HRV, physiological baseline data and weekly and monthly health trends.

It additionally offers AI-powered sleep interpretation and suggestions, menstrual-cycle tracking, fertile-window and ovulation predictions, and cycle-based workout guidance and calorie management.

The smartwatch includes three wrist-temperature sensors with claimed accuracy of ±0.1 degrees Celsius. It also supports dual-band UVA/UVB monitoring.

For fitness tracking, the Watch S5 supports more than 150 sports modes, along with dual-frequency GNSS and five major satellite positioning systems. Its cycling mode supports smartphone data synchronisation, cycling reports and compatible third-party Bluetooth power meters.

Safety and Smart Features

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm includes several emergency features. Users can request emergency assistance by pressing the side key three times. Holding the lower key for three seconds can directly call 110, 120 or 119 in China.

The watch also features a high-frequency whistle and real-time location sharing with emergency contacts.With Xiaomi HyperOS 4, the smartwatch can control compatible Xiaomi smart-home devices such as TVs, speakers, lights, air conditioners and air purifiers. Other features include remote photography, phone finding, earphone controls and smart door-lock notifications.

For compatible vehicles, the watch can provide fatigue-driving, speeding and battery-range alerts, navigation reminders, Bluetooth car-key functionality, remote air-conditioning control, and lock, unlock and trunk controls.

Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm: Other Features

The smartwatch supports WeChat Watch Edition, including voice-to-text, emoticons and quick replies. Xiaomi also offers third-party applications covering payments, travel, music, productivity and lifestyle services.

The watch comes with Super Xiao Ai, which can handle tasks such as answering questions, checking weather, translation and quick operations. A Game Mode is also available, providing character-status information, vibration alerts and post-battle reports.

For iPhone users, the Watch S5 supports notifications, Shortcuts, remote photography, music controls, phone finding and Apple Health synchronisation.
