Samsung Galaxy A55 One UI 9 Beta Update Rolls Out in India, South Korea

 

Samsung has reportedly started rolling out the One UI 9 beta update for the Galaxy A55 5G. The latest beta software is said to be available to select users in India and South Korea, giving Galaxy A55 owners an early look at Samsung’s upcoming Android 17-based software.

The update is reportedly more than 2GB in size and also includes the September 2026 Android security patch. However, since this is beta software, users may encounter bugs or performance issues during testing.

According to screenshots shared by tipster Tarun Vats on X, Samsung has begun distributing the One UI 9 beta to eligible Galaxy A55 units in India and South Korea.

For users in India, the update is reportedly available for firmware versions A556EXXUHZZI1, A556EODMHZZI1 and A556EXXUHEZI2. In South Korea, the eligible firmware versions reportedly include A556SKSUAZZI1, A556SSKCAZZI1 and A556SKSUAEZI1.

The One UI 9 beta update reportedly requires a download of over 2GB and brings the September 2026 Android security patch to the Galaxy A55.

How to Join the One UI 9 Beta Programme

Galaxy A55 owners interested in testing Samsung's upcoming software can register for the beta programme through the Samsung Members app, provided the programme is available for their device and region.

After registering, users can check for the update by following these steps:

Settings > Software Update > Download and install

Users should back up important data before installing beta software, as early builds can contain bugs, unexpected crashes and other issues.
