Vivo S2 FE vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G: Specs, Price and Differences
The recently launched Vivo S2 FE in India and the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, introduced in Malaysia, share a remarkably similar hardware package. From the Dimensity 7300e chipset and 120Hz AMOLED display to the massive 10,000mAh battery, the two smartphones offer many of the same specifications.
However, there are some differences worth considering, including NFC support, RAM and storage configurations, colour options, and minor variations in thickness and weight.
Vivo S2 FE vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G: Design and Display
There is very little to separate the two smartphones in terms of size. Both measure 163.90 × 76.50 × 8.59mm, although the Zen White version of the Vivo S2 FE is slightly thicker at 8.69mm.
The weight difference is similarly negligible. The Vivo S2 FE weighs around 224g, with the Zen White version listed at 225g, while the Vivo V80 Lite 5G is around 224g–225g depending on the variant.
Colour choices are different between the two models. The Vivo S2 FE is available in Stellar Green, Zen White and Titan Black, while the V80 Lite 5G comes in Pink, Green and Black.
The display hardware is essentially identical. Both phones feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 2800 × 1260-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits HBM brightness.
One notable connectivity difference is NFC support. The Malaysian Vivo V80 Lite 5G supports NFC, whereas the Vivo S2 FE does not.
Vivo S2 FE vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G: Performance
Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, with the processor clocked at up to 2.5GHz.
The memory technology is also the same, with both models using LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software side, both run Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
As a result, there should not be a significant difference in everyday performance between the two phones when comparing similarly configured variants.
Vivo S2 FE vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G: RAM and Storage
Memory configurations are one of the more noticeable differences between the two models.
The Vivo S2 FE in India is offered with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage options.The Vivo V80 Lite 5G offers more storage flexibility, with configurations including 6GB + 128GB, 6GB + 256GB and 8GB + 256GB.
Therefore, buyers who need more built-in storage have an advantage with the V80 Lite 5G, while the S2 FE focuses on 128GB storage with a choice of 6GB or 8GB RAM.
Vivo S2 FE vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G: Battery and Charging
Battery capacity is another area where the two phones are identical.
Both the Vivo S2 FE and Vivo V80 Lite 5G pack a massive 10,000mAh battery and support 44W wired charging. The large battery should make both smartphones particularly appealing to users who prioritise long endurance. However, neither model matches some competitors that offer significantly faster charging speeds.
Vivo S2 FE vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G: Cameras
The camera hardware is also virtually identical.
Both phones feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, both smartphones have a 32-megapixel front camera.
Therefore, there is no clear hardware-based camera advantage for either model based on the listed specifications.
