Lenovo ThinkBook 14x Launched in India: Price, Specifications and Features

Lenovo has launched the ThinkBook 14x in India, targeting professionals, students, and users looking for a powerful Windows laptop in an ultra-portable form factor. The new laptop weighs under 990 grams and measures just 12.9mm in thickness, making it one of the lighter options in its segment.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors and comes with up to 16GB of high-speed LPDDR5X memory. Depending on the configuration, buyers can also get a touch display, Intel Arc graphics, a 2.8K OLED panel, up to 1TB of storage, and a larger 65Wh battery.

Lenovo ThinkBook 14x Features and Specifications

Lenovo is offering the ThinkBook 14x in three configurations dubbed Good, Better, and Best. All three variants feature 16GB LPDDR5X memory with speeds of up to 8,533MT/s.The memory is soldered, meaning users cannot upgrade the RAM later. While this limits upgradeability, the design helps Lenovo keep the laptop thin and lightweight while maintaining fast memory performance and efficient power consumption.

Good variant

The entry-level ThinkBook 14x is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, an 8-core processor designed for everyday productivity. It comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 54.7Wh battery. This configuration should be suitable for students and professionals who primarily use their laptop for office applications, web browsing, video calls, document editing, and general multitasking.

Better variant

The mid-range model upgrades the processor to the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V and features Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics. The additional graphics capability makes this version more suitable for users who occasionally perform video editing, photo editing, light gaming, or other graphics-intensive tasks. It also comes with a touchscreen, providing an additional way to interact with Windows and potentially making tasks such as note-taking more convenient.

Best variant

The top-end ThinkBook 14x is designed for users looking for the most premium configuration. It features a 2.8K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1TB of storage, and a larger 65Wh battery.

The OLED panel should offer improved contrast, deeper blacks, and a more vibrant viewing experience compared with conventional LCD panels. It could therefore be particularly appealing to users who frequently watch movies, edit photos or videos, or simply want a higher-quality display. The larger battery should also help compensate for the potentially higher power consumption of the OLED panel.

Lenovo ThinkBook 14x India Price

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x starts at Rs. 1,08,990 in India for the entry-level configuration. The Better variant is currently listed at around Rs. 1,34,991 on Lenovo's India website. The top-end OLED variant has not been listed yet, although it is expected to be priced at around Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 1.6 lakh.Pricing may vary depending on configuration, offers, and availability.

Should You Buy the Lenovo ThinkBook 14x?

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14x is aimed at users who want a combination of portability, performance, battery efficiency, and Windows compatibility. At under 990 grams and just 12.9mm thick, portability is one of its biggest advantages.

The Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors are designed with power efficiency in mind, while the Core Ultra 7 configuration with Intel Arc 140V graphics offers additional performance for light creative workloads and gaming.

The laptop also provides an alternative to newer ARM-based Windows laptops powered by Snapdragon processors. While Snapdragon-powered machines can offer excellent battery life, an Intel-based Windows laptop can provide broader compatibility with traditional x86 applications.

The ThinkBook 14x also competes with premium ultraportables such as the ASUS Zenbook A14 and Apple's MacBook Air. However, buyers considering the Lenovo model should also compare battery life, display quality, performance, and pricing before making a decision.
