Samsung Galaxy A08 Launched With 6,000mAh Battery, Android 16
Samsung has launched the Galaxy A08, its latest budget 4G smartphone in the A series and the successor to the Galaxy A07. The new Samsung Galaxy A08 comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display, a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, a 50-megapixel rear camera, and a large 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
One of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy A08 is its long-term software support. Samsung has confirmed six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, making the phone an interesting option in the budget smartphone segment.
The Galaxy A08 runs Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 8 and features a notch housing an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Samsung Galaxy A08 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A08 features a 6.7-inch HD+ Infinity-U LCD display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Galaxy A08 has a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. An 8-megapixel camera on the front handles selfies and video calls.
The smartphone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. It gets an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The Galaxy A08 packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. However, Samsung does not include a charger in the retail box.
Samsung Galaxy A08 Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A08 is available in Navy Blue, Silver, and Green colour options. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 10,699 Ukrainian hryvnia, which is approximately $239 or ₹23,000.
The smartphone is already available for purchase in markets including Ukraine. Samsung has also listed the Galaxy A08 on websites in countries such as Serbia and South Africa, suggesting that the phone could receive a wider international rollout in the coming weeks and months.
Samsung has yet to announce India pricing and availability for the Galaxy A08.
