Lava Virat Curve India Launch Date Confirmed: Specs, Features and Price

Lava has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming Lava Virat Curve smartphone in India. The new handset is set to debut on September 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST and will join the company's Virat series as a mid-range smartphone.

The Lava Virat Curve brings a curved AMOLED display, a secondary mini display integrated into the rear camera module, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset and a large 6,000mAh battery. The phone will also ship with Android 16 and offer several AI-powered features.

Lava Virat Curve: Display and Design

The Lava Virat Curve features a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. Lava claims a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio.

One of the phone's standout design elements is the secondary mini display built into the rear camera module. It can show useful information such as battery percentage, volume levels, notifications and the time. Users can also customize the display with emojis.

The smartphone will be available in Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory colour options and will feature a vegan leather rear panel.For durability, the Virat Curve carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and supports MIL-STD-810H military-grade drop resistance.

Lava Virat Curve Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Lava Virat Curve is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. The processor is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, with support for up to an additional 6GB of virtual RAM.The phone comes with 128GB of internal storage. For biometrics, Lava has included an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Virat Curve also features dual stereo speakers and dual microphones, making it better suited for multimedia consumption and voice-related features.

The Lava Virat Curve packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging.The large battery capacity should make the smartphone suitable for users who prioritise long battery life, while 45W charging is designed to reduce charging time.

Lava Virat Curve Cameras

For photography, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup on the rear. The primary camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 sensor.The main camera supports 2K video recording at 30fps along with slow-motion video recording.On the front, the handset gets an 8-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera.

Android 16 and AI Features

The Lava Virat Curve will run Android 16 out of the box. Lava has promised two years of major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

The smartphone also comes with several AI-powered features, including AI Call Summary, AI Voice Translation and Lava's Vayu AI assistant.These features are aimed at improving calling, translation and everyday smartphone interactions.
