Poco M8x 5G Launched in India With 7,900mAh Battery, 50MP Camera
Poco has launched the Poco M8x 5G in India, adding a new model to its M8 smartphone lineup. The latest M-series handset brings a large 6.9-inch display, a 7,900mAh battery and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. It also features a 50-megapixel primary camera and runs Xiaomi's Android 16-based HyperOS 3.The Poco M8x 5G joins the Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Power in the company's mid-range smartphone portfolio.
Poco M8x 5G Price in India and Sale Date
The Poco M8x 5G price in India starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 22,999. Poco is offering a Rs. 2,000 bank discount to eligible buyers.
The smartphone will go on sale from August 27 at 12pm IST via Flipkart. It is available in Black, Blue and Leather Green colour options. The Leather Green version comes with a vegan leather finish on the rear panel.
Poco M8x 5G Specifications and Features
The Poco M8x 5G sports a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and Wet Touch 2.0 for improved touch response when the display is wet or damp. The handset also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Powering the phone is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, based on a 4nm manufacturing process. The processor is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Poco claims the smartphone can score more than 6,50,000 points on AnTuTu.
For photography, the Poco M8x 5G features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel front camera. The cameras support video recording at up to 1080p resolution.
The standout feature is the phone's 7,900mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. Poco claims the battery can provide up to 35 hours of social media use, 27 days of messaging and 64 hours of music playback on a single charge.
The Poco M8x 5G runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and is promised four OS upgrades along with six years of security updates. For thermal management, the handset uses a triple cooling system with a large graphite area, copper foil and thermal gel.
