Moto G Max Launched in India With 7,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 6s Gen 4

Motorola has launched the new Moto G Max in India, expanding its popular G-series smartphone lineup with a focus on battery life, display quality and performance. The new handset is the company's second “Max” smartphone in India, following the Motorola Edge 70 Max launched last month.

The Moto G Max is priced at Rs. 27,999 for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It will be available through Flipkart from August 20 at 12pm in Pantone Alaskan Blue, Pantone Malaga and Pantone Stargazer colour options.

As part of the launch offers, buyers can get a Rs. 1,000 instant discount on eligible Axis Bank and ICICI Bank credit card transactions. Customers can also claim a Rs. 1,000 exchange bonus.

Moto G Max Specifications

The Moto G Max features a 6.72-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 120Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1,050 nits of peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm's 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola's RAM Boost feature can provide up to 24GB of virtual RAM.

For photography, the phone has a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 119.5-degree field of view. A 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The biggest highlight is its 7,000mAh battery, supported by 30W TurboPower charging. Motorola claims the phone can provide up to 63 hours of battery life on a single charge.

The Moto G Max runs Android 16 with Hello UI and is promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Other features include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, IP64 protection and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

Weighing 213 grams and measuring 8.6mm in thickness, the Moto G Max combines a large battery with a high-refresh-rate display and a Snapdragon chipset, making it an interesting option in India's sub-Rs. 30,000 smartphone segment.
