Motorola Signature launched in India with 5,200mAh battery, 50MP selfie camera

 

Motorola Signature was launched in India on Friday during an event in Mumbai. The new handset will soon be available on e-commerce platforms and comes in two Pantone-curated color options. The phone features an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.

The handset comes with a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The company claims up to 41 hours of battery life. Users also get access to Signature Club, a live agent lifestyle support service, and Moto Elite Care.

Motorola Signature price and availability

The Motorola Signature is priced starting at ₹59,999 for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at ₹64,999. The top-end 16GB + 1TB variant is priced at ₹69,999. Customers can avail an instant discount of ₹5,000 with HDFC and Axis Bank cards, or choose an exchange bonus of up to ₹5,000.

The new smartphone will be available for sale on Flipkart starting January 30. It comes in Pantone Carbon and Pantone Martini Olive colour options.


Motorola Signature Features and Specifications

Motorola Signature is a dual SIM smartphone that runs on Android 16 and features the company's Hello UI. The phone features a 6.8-inch Super HD (1,264×2,780 pixels) LTPO Extreme AMOLED display, which claims to deliver a premium visual experience. This display supports 165Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 6,200 nits peak brightness, and 450ppi pixel density. Apart from this, it also has Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, 20:9 aspect ratio, and SGS Blue Light Reduction and Motion Blur Reduction certification. The special thing is that the screen has a Smart Water Touch feature, due to which the phone can be easily operated even with wet or damp hands.


In terms of performance, the Motorola Signature is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor built on a 3nm process. The phone comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. For durability and security, it is rated IP68 + IP69, making it dust and water resistant. The phone also comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen protection. Design-wise, the phone features an aluminum frame, while the back panel features a linen-inspired or twill-inspired finish, depending on the color options.


In the camera department, the Motorola Signature sports a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP Sony LYT 828 primary camera with an f/1.6 aperture and OIS support. It also has a 50MP ultrawide camera (f/2.0) and a 50MP Sony LYT 600 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, 100x hybrid zoom, and OIS. For selfies and video calling, it has a 50MP Sony LYT 500 front camera. The smartphone is capable of video recording at up to 8K/30fps.

Speaking of battery and charging, the Motorola Signature packs a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery. This battery supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The phone also offers 10W wireless reverse charging and 5W wired reverse charging. The company claims that this smartphone can deliver up to 41 hours of battery life.

For connectivity, the Motorola Signature includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. Sensors include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and e-compass. The phone measures 162.1×76.4×6.99mm and weighs approximately 186 grams, making it slim and light.
