The Realme Neo 8 was launched in China on Thursday. This new Neo series smartphone comes in three color options and supports 80W fast charging along with a large 8,000mAh battery. The Realme Neo 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera. Furthermore, the Realme Neo 8 is rated IP66 + IP68 + IP69 for dust and water resistance.

Realme Neo 8 price and availability

The Realme Neo 8 starts at CNY 2,399 (approximately ₹33,000) for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The prices of some of its other variants are as follows:

  1. 16GB + 256GB: CNY 2,699 (approximately ₹35,000)
  2. 12GB + 512GB: CNY 2,899 (approximately ₹38,000)
  3. 16GB + 512GB: CNY 3,199 (approximately ₹41,000)
  4. 16GB + 1TB: CNY 3,699 (approximately ₹48,000)

The Realme Neo 8 is currently available for sale in China in Cyber ​​Purple, Mech Gray, and Origin White (translated from Chinese) colour options.

Realme Neo 8 Specifications and Features

The dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) Realme Neo 8 runs on Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0. It features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,272 x 2,772 pixels) AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. Made from Samsung's M14 material, the display boasts a peak brightness of up to 3,800 nits. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.


For photography, the Realme Neo 8 features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP wide-angle camera (with OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera (with OIS). There's a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calling.

The phone features an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor. Crystal Armor Glass is used for scratch and drop resistance. It features the Sky Signal Chip S1 for improved network and location optimization. According to the company, this smartphone will receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0, 5G, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, Wi-Fi 7, and a USB Type-C port on the Realme Neo 8. Sensors on the phone include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and infrared remote control.

The smartphone comes with dual stereo speakers and features a rugged build with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings. The phone is backed by an 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging and bypass charging. The Realme Neo 8 measures 8.30mm thick and weighs 215 grams.
