Realme 16 Pro Series India Launch Date Announced: Expected Specifications, Features

 

Realme is all set to launch its new flagship smartphone series, the Realme 16 Pro, in the Indian market. The company has announced that the Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G will be launched in India next month, i.e., in January 2026. The company claims that the phones will be equipped with Snapdragon chipsets, which will outperform Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

For photography, the handset will feature a 200MP camera. For editing, it will support the impressive AI Edit Genie 2.0, which includes image editing tools like AI StyleMe and AI LightMe. Learn about all the details revealed so far.

When will the Realme 16 Pro series launch in India?

The Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed that the new Realme 16 Pro series will launch in India on January 6, 2026, at 12 noon. The company also revealed that the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G will feature a LumaColor Image-powered 200-megapixel Portrait Master primary rear camera. These handsets will be available on Flipkart and the Realme India online store soon after launch.

Design and color options

Recently, the company revealed that it has collaborated with Fukasawa to create the 'Urban Wild' design for the Realme 16 Pro series. In India, the series will be offered in Master Gold and Master Grey colors. Additionally, the Pro+ and Pro models will be available in India-exclusive colors: Camellia Pink and Orchid Purple.

Previous teasers also revealed the phone's appearance. The Realme 16 Pro lineup will feature a triple camera unit on the back, accompanied by an LED flash, housed in a new square-shaped design. The Realme branding will be on the right side of the rear panel. The power button and volume controls will be located on the right side of the handset.

The upcoming Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is said to be powered by a Snapdragon chipset, which is said to be superior to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The company has also confirmed that the handset's periscope telephoto camera will support up to 10x zoom.
