Specifications, Features

The OnePlus 15R has a 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, allowing for smoother on-screen graphics. The screen’s pixel density is set to 450 pixels per inch (PPI), and its brightness range extends from a low of 2 nits to a high peak of 1,800 nits, ensuring adaptability in a variety of lighting conditions. It has Eye Comfort Mode to reduce eye fatigue while gaming and reminders to blink during heavy games. The gadget has also obtained TÜV Rheinland’s Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 accreditation, which ensures safe viewing.

The device is rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, which means it can withstand water jets and heated water jets at temperatures of up to 80°C. It can also tolerate immersion in water at depths of up to 1.5 metres for half an hour and is dust resistant, making it ideal for pool parties.

The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 technology, which improves CPU performance by 36%, GPU performance by 11%, and AI capabilities by 46% over the previous generation. To improve gaming performance, OnePlus uses its own CPU Scheduler, which optimises resource allocation for high-end gaming compared to the standard Completely Fair Scheduler found in other Android smartphones. It has LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 ROM. The phone comes preloaded with OxygenOS 16, which is based on Android 16.

It features a robust 7,400 mAh battery that is meant to last four years and preserve at least 80% of its capacity. It has super-rapid charging with 80W SUPERVOOC technology, which ensures that the gadget functions effectively even under extreme situations. A complete 360-degree Cryo Velocity Cooling System ensures efficient heat control. It incorporates the Cryo Velocity Screen Cooler, which uses aerogel to provide superior heat protection for the display. The Cryo Velocity 3D Vapour Chamber, a patented design of 5,704 mm², successfully cools high-end CPUs utilising revolutionary materials like hand-tearable steel. In addition, the Cryo Velocity Back Cover has a graphite layer to improve cooling throughout the chassis.

The smartphone will also include the newest G2 Wi-Fi chip and a touch response chip, which will improve both connectivity and user experience.

On the back, there is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, both of which use the OnePlus DetailMax Engine to improve image detail. This engine includes three new technologies: Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and the Clear Night Engine, which are the result of recent advances in computational photography. There’s also a 32-megapixel sensor with focusing functions to boost image quality.
