Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro Plus Smartphones Confirmed to Launch in India Soon: Expected Specifications

Realme is preparing to launch its new flagship-level smartphone series, the Realme 16 Pro, in India. The company has officially announced that it may launch the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ phones in India soon.

This series will succeed the Realme 15 Pro 5G, which was introduced alongside the standard Realme 15 5G in July. However, the company didn't launch a Pro+ model alongside the previous model.


Realme 16 Pro series: Design and other features revealed

Realme has confirmed the launch of the Realme 16 Pro series by sharing a teaser image. The image shows a slim smartphone profile with a golden middle frame and a slightly protruding rear camera module, hinting at the design of the upcoming Realme 16 Pro series.

Additionally, the Realme 16 Pro has appeared on China's TENAA and MIIT databases with the model number RMX5121. Images from these listings reveal a flat-front display and a square camera island with rounded edges, located in the top-left corner of the rear panel.


Realme 16 Pro: Expected specifications

The Realme 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The handset is likely to be powered by a 2.5GHz processor and run on Realme UI 7, based on Android 16. The camera setup is rumored to include a 200MP primary sensor on the back and a 50MP front camera.


It is expected to feature a 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The device is also expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster. Leaks suggest that the device will be around 7.75mm thick, weigh around 192g, and offer configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Finally, the device may come in three color options: Gray, Gold, and Purple.

Realme 16 Pro+: What to expect

Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro+ is likely to be similar to the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G that was previously launched in India. This device has the model number RMX5131 and may come in Camellia Pink, Master Gold, and Master Grey color options.

According to preliminary reports, it is likely to have similar specifications to the Realme 16 Pro. Realme will share more details on features, pricing, and availability closer to the upcoming launch.
