Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition Launched: Specifications, Features and Design

Tecno has expanded its premium smartphone lineup with the launch of the Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, marking the company's first smartphone collaboration with Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini. The special-edition handset combines Tecno's performance-focused Pova series with Tonino Lamborghini's distinctive automotive-inspired design language.

The smartphone comes in a striking black-and-red colour scheme and features several exclusive design elements, including a hexagonal pattern, a Pulse Line on the rear panel and the iconic Tonino Lamborghini logo. The handset also features a customised 'L' signature on its Alive Matrix Display.

While Tecno has not yet revealed the price or availability details of the Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, the device shares much of its hardware with the standard Pova 8 Pro 5G, which was launched in India last month at a starting price of Rs. 49,999.

The new Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition gets a distinctive premium design inspired by Tonino Lamborghini. It is finished in a special Tonino Lamborghini Black shade with contrasting red accents.The rear panel features a hexagonal pattern along with a centrally positioned Pulse Line. Tecno has incorporated an internal mirror structure around the Pulse Line to create a reflective lighting effect. The Tonino Lamborghini branding is positioned prominently on the rear panel with a premium metallic finish.

Another exclusive touch is the customised 'L' signature, which appears on the phone's Alive Matrix Display. The display element can be customised and adds to the limited-edition identity of the handset.

The Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition runs on HiOS 16, based on Android 16. Tecno says the smartphone will receive two major Android OS upgrades along with three years of security updates.

The handset features a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,644 x 1,208 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, offers a pixel density of 429ppi and has a 93.18 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chipset, paired with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Tecno also offers a RAM expansion feature that allows the memory to be expanded virtually up to 24GB.

For photography, the limited-edition smartphone features a dual rear camera setup. The primary camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C sensor and supports optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.The rear camera module also incorporates the phone's Alive Matrix Display, which offers customisation options and serves as one of the handset's key design features.For selfies and video calls, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

Connectivity and Other Features

The Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition supports a wide range of connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and NFC. The phone features a USB Type-C port for wired connectivity and charging.The device also includes an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, G-sensor, e-compass, infrared remote control and gyroscope. Biometric authentication is handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Battery and Charging

The smartphone packs a large 6,500mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. The combination is aimed at providing extended battery life while allowing users to recharge the handset relatively quickly.Despite its large battery, the device measures 162.48 x 77.27 x 7.39mm and weighs 189 grams.
