Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power Launched in India: Price, Features and Specifications

Poco has expanded its X8 smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Poco X8 Power and Poco X8. The new smartphones join the recently introduced Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max, giving consumers more options in the company's mid-range X8 series.The Poco X8 Power stands out with its massive 10,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging support, while the standard Poco X8 comes with a 9,000mAh battery and 67W charging. Both models feature AMOLED displays, 50-megapixel primary cameras, IP-rated protection and Snapdragon chipsets.

Poco X8 Power, Poco X8 Price in India and Availability

The Poco X8 price in India starts at Rs. 29,999, while the Poco X8 Power starts at Rs. 35,999. Poco is also offering promotional benefits, including a Rs. 2,000 coupon discount and an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs. 1,000.With these offers, the effective starting prices of the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power can drop to Rs. 26,999 and Rs. 32,999, respectively.The Poco X8 will be available in Black, Fiery Orange and Frost White colour options. The Poco X8 Power, meanwhile, comes in Black and Yellow shades.

Both smartphones are scheduled to go on sale in India via Flipkart from September 11.

The Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power are dual-SIM smartphones running Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Poco has promised four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates for both models.

Display

Both smartphones feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,772 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.The displays support HDR10+, Dolby Vision and up to 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. They also offer up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.Other display features include TÜV Triple Eye Protection certification, Wet Touch 2.0 and Corning Gorilla Victus 2 protection.Both models also come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, providing enhanced resistance against dust and water.

Performance and Storage

The Poco X8 Power is powered by Qualcomm's 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, with a peak clock speed of up to 2.6GHz. The smartphone comes with an Adreno GPU and offers up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.The standard Poco X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, clocked at up to 2.4GHz. It also features an Adreno GPU, while its RAM uses the LPDDR4X standard.

Cameras

For photography, both smartphones feature a dual rear-camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS).The Poco X8 Power additionally features an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The standard Poco X8, on the other hand, uses a 2-megapixel depth sensor as its secondary rear camera.For selfies and video calls, the Poco X8 Power gets a 32-megapixel front camera, while the Poco X8 features a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Battery and Charging

Battery capacity is one of the biggest differences between the two smartphones.The Poco X8 Power packs a 10,000mAh battery and supports 100W wired fast charging. It also supports 27W wired reverse charging, allowing the phone to charge compatible devices.The standard Poco X8 comes with a 9,000mAh battery and supports 67W wired fast charging, along with 22.5W wired reverse charging.

Both smartphones also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
