Samsung Galaxy A18 4G Launched With 6.7-Inch Super AMOLED Display and 5,000mAh Battery

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A18 4G, its latest budget-friendly addition to the Galaxy A series. The new smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy A18 4G runs Android 17 with Samsung's One UI 9.0 and comes with AI-powered features including Google's Gemini and Circle to Search. Samsung is also promising an extended software support period, with six generations of Android OS updates and six years of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy A18 4G Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G price starts at EUR 279 (approximately Rs. 30,900) for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant in France.

The smartphone is offered in Black, Grey and Light Blue colour options. Samsung has not yet announced details about its availability in other markets.

Samsung Galaxy A18 4G Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G sports a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080x2,340 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The AMOLED panel is designed to deliver brighter colours and smoother scrolling compared with conventional LCD displays.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1610 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card, giving users additional space for photos, videos and apps.

On the software front, the Galaxy A18 4G runs Android 17-based One UI 9.0. Samsung promises six generations of Android updates and six years of security updates, giving the handset a longer software-support lifecycle.

The phone also supports Google's Circle to Search feature, allowing users to circle an object or information displayed on the screen to search for related results. It is also compatible with Google Gemini, which can respond to natural-language commands and assist with tasks such as sending messages and adding calendar events.

For photography, the Galaxy A18 4G features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

The 50-megapixel primary camera supports autofocus and up to 10x digital zoom. However, the main camera does not feature optical image stabilisation (OIS).

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The rear camera can record videos at up to Full-HD resolution at 30fps, while slow-motion video recording is supported at up to 120fps in HD resolution.

The Galaxy A18 4G packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W wired fast charging. Samsung claims that the battery can reach 50 percent capacity in around 30 minutes.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and USB Type-C. The phone also supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS positioning systems.

The handset measures 164.4x77.9x7.7mm and weighs 196 grams. It also carries an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes.
