Redmi 17C 5G India Launch Date, Design and Specifications Revealed

 

The Redmi 17C 5G is set to launch in India soon, with Xiaomi confirming the smartphone’s debut date as October 1. The upcoming handset will join the Redmi 17 lineup in the country, which already includes the Redmi 17 5G.

Ahead of its official launch, Xiaomi has also teased the design of the Redmi 17C 5G and revealed its colour options. The Indian version appears to share the same design as the global model that was launched in August.

Redmi 17C 5G India Launch Date

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi 17C 5G will launch in India on October 1. The company announced the launch through a post on X, using the tagline #MainCharacterEnergy.

The teaser provides a look at the rear design of the upcoming smartphone. The Redmi 17C 5G appears to feature a slightly raised rectangular camera module positioned in the top-left corner of the rear panel.The camera island houses two vertically arranged lenses along with an LED flash. The teaser also shows the handset in three colour options, which appear to match the colours offered with the global variant.On the front, the smartphone can be seen with a waterdrop-style notch, which is expected to house the selfie camera.

Redmi 17C 5G Price and Colour Options

The Redmi 17C 5G was previously launched in Singapore in August at a starting price of SGD 279, which is approximately Rs. 20,900. The base configuration comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

In the global market, the smartphone is available in Black, Brown, and Purple colour options. Xiaomi has yet to reveal the official Indian price of the Redmi 17C 5G.

Redmi 17C 5G Specifications

The global version of the Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 810 nits of peak brightness.Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It comes with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Storage can also be expanded using a microSD card.

For photography, the Redmi 17C 5G features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

While Xiaomi has confirmed the October 1 launch date, the company has not yet disclosed the complete specifications or pricing of the Indian variant.More details, including the Redmi 17C 5G India price, RAM and storage configurations, offers, and availability, are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
