Poco F9 Ultra, F9 Pro Debut With Snapdragon 8 Elite Chips and 200MP Cameras
Poco has expanded its flagship smartphone lineup with the launch of the Poco F9 Ultra and Poco F9 Pro in select global markets. The two new F-series smartphones come with high-end Snapdragon chipsets, 200-megapixel primary cameras and AMOLED displays with refresh rates of up to 185Hz.
Both models are expected to go on sale soon through the Xiaomi online store in select markets. The Poco F9 Ultra is offered in Black and Dark Cherry, while the Poco F9 Pro comes in Aurora Green, Black and White.
Poco F9 Ultra, F9 Pro Price and Availability
The Poco F9 Ultra starts at $799 (roughly Rs. 76,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 16GB + 512GB model is priced at $949 (around Rs. 90,000), while the top-end 16GB + 1TB configuration costs $1,199 (approximately Rs. 1.14 lakh).The Poco F9 Pro is priced at $699 (around Rs. 66,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Its 12GB + 512GB model costs $769 (roughly Rs. 73,000).
Poco has not announced India pricing or availability for either smartphone yet.
Poco F9 Ultra Specifications and Features
The Poco F9 Ultra features a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 1,200x2,608-pixel resolution and up to a 185Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 2,200 nits of peak brightness, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage and 68 billion colours. It also comes with Wet Touch Display 2.0 and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It also gets the VisionBoost D8 chipset and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
For photography, the Poco F9 Ultra features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
The handset packs an 8,050mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It also supports wired and wireless reverse charging.
Poco F9 Pro Specifications and Features
The Poco F9 Pro sports a slightly smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1,156x2,510-pixel resolution and up to a 185Hz refresh rate. The display also supports up to 2,200 nits brightness, 480Hz touch sampling and Wet Touch Display 2.0.Under the hood, the Poco F9 Pro uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V chipset, alongside LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Like the Ultra model, it carries an IP68 rating.
The phone features a triple rear camera system led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS. It is paired with a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. For selfies, there is a 32-megapixel camera.
The Poco F9 Pro packs a 6,330mAh battery and supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with wired and wireless reverse charging.
Both smartphones run Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and feature dual-SIM support, an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. The Poco F9 Ultra measures 163.49x77.94x8.74mm and weighs around 235g, while the Poco F9 Pro measures 157.49x75.25x8.79mm and weighs about 206g.
