Mivi One 5G Smartphone Confirmed for India Launch, Flipkart Teaser Reveals Design
Indian consumer electronics brand Mivi is preparing to enter the smartphone market with its first-ever handset, the Mivi One 5G. The company has now officially confirmed the smartphone’s name and 5G connectivity, following teasers that began appearing last month.The upcoming device will be sold through Flipkart, where a dedicated microsite has already gone live. While Mivi has yet to announce the exact launch date, the listing provides an early glimpse at the phone’s design and colour option.
Mivi One 5G: What We Know So Far
The Flipkart landing page confirms that the Mivi One 5G is “dropping soon” in India. As its name suggests, the smartphone will support 5G networks. Mivi has also revealed that the handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G chipset, although the specific processor has not been disclosed yet.
The teaser image shows the phone in a green finish with rounded edges. The handset is promoted with the “Pretty Powerful” tagline, suggesting that performance will be one of its key selling points.
Mivi is expected to reveal more information about the smartphone in the coming days, including its processor model, display specifications, cameras, battery capacity, RAM and storage configurations, pricing and official launch date.According to recent reports and leaks, the Mivi One 5G could be positioned below Rs. 15,000 in India. If the pricing is accurate, the phone will compete in one of the country's most competitive smartphone segments, where brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, Motorola, Samsung and others offer several 5G options.
Mivi's First Smartphone in India
Mivi is primarily known for its audio products, including wireless earphones, Bluetooth speakers, soundbars and home theatre systems. The Hyderabad-based company is now expanding beyond audio products with its first smartphone.The Mivi One 5G will also make the brand part of a growing group of Indian consumer electronics companies entering the smartphone market.
Wearable brand Fire-Boltt recently entered the segment with the Boltt Ace and Boltt Evo, priced from Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 10,999, respectively. Philips has also entered India's smartphone market with the Philips S7221 5G, which was launched at an introductory price of Rs. 20,499.With the Mivi One 5G, the company will be looking to differentiate itself in the affordable 5G smartphone segment.
