LG AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machines Launched in India With New Washing and Drying Features

 

LG has announced the launch of its new AX semi-automatic washing machine lineup in India. The range includes 15 models with capacities between 8kg and 12kg, catering to different household sizes, laundry requirements and design preferences.

The new LG AX semi-automatic washing machines come with several features aimed at improving washing performance, reducing detergent residue and lint, tackling stubborn stains, and speeding up the drying process.

The new washing machines feature LG's Dual Spin Shower technology, which uses two powerful water inlets to rinse clothes and help reduce detergent residue.

They also come with a Roller Jet Pulsator+, inspired by a whale-tail design. It creates dynamic water movement inside the tub to improve clothes circulation and assist in removing stubborn dirt while being designed to care for fabrics.

Other key features include:

• Ultra Scrub Wall: Uses a specialised scrub pattern to tackle tough dirt around cuffs, collars and heavily soiled areas.
• New Smart Filter: Captures lint during the wash cycle and can be removed and cleaned for easier maintenance.
• Wind Jet Dry+: Uses powerful airflow during the spin cycle to remove excess moisture and help clothes dry faster.
• 3+1 Wash Programs: Offers multiple washing options for different laundry requirements.
• Rat Away Technology: Designed to provide additional protection and durability.

Design and Build

The LG AX semi-automatic washing machines feature a strong box-type body, patterned exterior and durable knobs. The range is available in Onyx Black, Middle Black and Burgundy colour options.

Select models are equipped with a Toughened Glass Lid featuring a soft-closing mechanism. The design is intended to improve durability while also reducing noise when the lid is closed.

Manufactured in India

LG says the new AX semi-automatic washing machines are manufactured at its Greater Noida facility. The plant is described by the company as an Industry 5.0-centric smart factory, incorporating AI-enabled smart factory operations, automation, robotics and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).

According to LG, its manufacturing process includes 100 percent quality checks, AI-based vision inspection and testing in NABL-accredited laboratories. These processes are aimed at maintaining product quality and improving manufacturing efficiency.

LG AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machines: Price and Availability

LG has not yet announced the pricing and retail availability details for the new AX semi-automatic washing machine range. The company is expected to reveal further information closer to the retail rollout.

LG has also confirmed plans to begin exporting the AX semi-automatic washing machines in 2027, with the range expected to reach more than 10 countries globally.

The new lineup expands LG's semi-automatic washing machine portfolio in India with a focus on washing performance, faster drying, durability and convenience.
