Vivo is preparing to launch its new S50 series in China next month, and in the meantime, the company has officially confirmed the design and key features of the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. It's believed that this model will be launched internationally as the Vivo X300 FE.
The most striking feature is its design. The horizontal camera bar on the back panel of the phone looks exactly like the iPhone Air. This module includes three cameras and an LED flash. According to the company, the phone features a large primary sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera.
Speaking of the front, previously revealed design renders showed a compact form factor with a flat display and rounded corners. The phone will feature a 6.31-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 50MP front camera will be present for selfies. For security, it features an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of performance, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini features a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a 6,500mAh battery. The phone is also powerful in terms of charging, with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
On the software front, the device will run on OriginOS 16 based on Android 6. It also includes premium features like dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, aerospace-grade metal frame, and IP68/IP69 rating.
At the same launch event, Vivo will also introduce the standard Vivo S50, which will feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED display. The teaser makes it clear that the standard model's rear will be completely different from the S50 Pro Mini.
