POCO X8s Spotted on Multiple Certifications Ahead of Launch, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Tipped

 

POCO appears to be preparing a new smartphone for its X8 series, with the rumoured POCO X8s surfacing on multiple certification platforms ahead of its expected launch. The upcoming handset has reportedly appeared on Singapore’s IMDA certification database, following earlier listings on Europe’s EEC and IECEE platforms.

The certification sightings suggest that the smartphone could be heading towards an official debut in select global markets. A Geekbench listing has also revealed some of its expected hardware specifications, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and 12GB of RAM.

However, POCO has not officially confirmed the phone’s name, specifications, launch date, or pricing.

POCO X8s Launch Timeline and Availability

The alleged POCO X8s, carrying the model number 2609CPC5FG, has received approval from Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). The certification listing identifies the device as a POCO smartphone and mentions support for 5G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC.

The same model number has reportedly appeared on the European Economic Community (EEC) and IECEE certification platforms. While these listings do not disclose the complete specifications, they add to the indications that the device is being prepared for international markets.

According to reports, the POCO X8s could launch in regions including Europe, Turkey, and Russia. An Indian launch is reportedly not planned, although POCO has yet to confirm its regional availability.

A related device with the model number M583CF is also rumoured to arrive in China under the Redmi brand.

POCO X8s Specifications (Expected)

The POCO X8s has reportedly appeared on Geekbench, offering an early look at its performance hardware. The listing points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. The handset was also listed with Android 16.

The benchmark reportedly recorded 972 points in the single-core test and 3,297 points in the multi-core test. These results offer an initial indication of its processing capabilities, although real-world performance will depend on the final hardware and software configuration.

The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. Other details, including its display size, battery capacity, charging speed, front camera, and storage options, remain unknown.

If these reports prove accurate, the POCO X8s could sit between the standard POCO X8 and the higher-end models in the company's smartphone lineup.

POCO X8s Price in India (Expected)

POCO has not announced the X8s' price. Moreover, reports currently suggest that the smartphone may not launch in India, making an official Indian price uncertain.

Its final pricing will likely depend on the market, memory configuration, and features offered at launch. Buyers should wait for an official announcement before making purchasing decisions based on the reported specifications.
