Lava Virat Curve 5G Launched in India With 120Hz Curved AMOLED Display and 6,000mAh Battery

Lava has launched the Virat Curve 5G in India as its latest 5G smartphone. The new handset combines a 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, and a large 6,000mAh battery.

One of the phone's standout features is its mini rear display, which allows users to view important information such as battery percentage, time, volume level and notifications without unlocking the device. Users can also customise the small rear screen with text and emojis.The Lava Virat Curve 5G comes in a single RAM and storage configuration and will be available for purchase through Flipkart later this month.

Lava Virat Curve 5G Price in India and Availability

The Lava Virat Curve 5G price in India is set at Rs. 23,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. After applicable bank discounts, customers can purchase the smartphone for an effective price of Rs. 19,999.The smartphone is offered in three colour options: Ellora Slate, Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart starting September 28.

Lava Virat Curve 5G Specifications and Features

The Lava Virat Curve 5G runs Android 16 out of the box. Lava has promised two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the smartphone.

The handset features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen offers a pixel density of 394ppi, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness.

The rear panel houses a mini display that can show information including the time, battery percentage, volume level, emojis and other notifications. This feature lets users quickly check selected information without unlocking the main display.

Under the hood, the Lava Virat Curve 5G is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also supports up to 6GB of virtual RAM.

For photography, the Lava Virat Curve 5G features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 primary rear camera with electronic image stabilisation (EIS).For selfies and video calls, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel front camera with screen flash.

The Lava Virat Curve 5G packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The company includes a 33W charger in the box.Lava claims that the smartphone can deliver up to 55 hours of talk time, up to 720 hours of standby time, and up to 660 minutes of YouTube playback on a single charge.

Connectivity and sensors include an IR blaster, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock.The Lava Virat Curve 5G carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.The smartphone measures 162.26 x 73.51 x 8.55mm and weighs 184 grams.
