Realme has launched the Realme 16T in India. The company introduced this smartphone alongside the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro and Realme Watch S5. The new smartphone comes with features like a 144Hz display, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 camera, and an 8,000mAh battery. It also boasts AI-based camera features and strong durability support.
Realme 16T price and availability
The Realme 16T starts at ₹29,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The prices of other variants are as follows:
- 8GB + 128GB: ₹31,999
- 8GB + 256GB: ₹34,999
The smartphone will be available in Starlight Black, Starlight Blue, and Starlight Red color options and will be available for purchase via Realme India and Flipkart.
Launch offers include an instant discount of up to ₹3,000 on credit card EMI transactions, or up to ₹2,000 through bank and UPI offers. The company is also offering no-cost EMI for up to 12 months and an additional ₹1,000 for existing Realme users.
Pre-booking of the phone will run till May 26, while the first sale will start on May 27 at 12 noon and will run till June 2.
Realme 16T Features and Specifications The
Realme 16T features a 6.8-inch LCD display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen boasts a 90.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, 16.7 million colors, and up to 1200 nits of brightness. It also offers features like Sun Display, DC Dimming, Eye Protection Mode, Sleep Mode, and Dark Mode.
The phone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone runs on Realme UI 7, based on Android 16.
Camera features:
For photography, the phone features a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus support. It is accompanied by a 2MP monochrome sensor.
The company has added AI camera features like AI Portrait Glow and AI Instant Clip. Additionally, the LumaColor IMAGE Engine helps improve skin tone, texture, and dynamic range.
The phone has a 16MP front camera, which is present in the punch-hole display.
Battery and other features
The Realme 16T packs a large 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. The company claims the phone can last up to three days on a single charge.
The phone also supports Bypass Charging and 6.5W reverse wired charging. According to the company, a full charge takes approximately 104 minutes.
For audio, it has 1115 Ultra-linear speakers and a 400% Ultra Volume Mode. It is Hi-Res Audio certified and supports SBC, AAC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, and LHDC 5.0 audio codecs.
Durability and Connectivity
The phone comes with an IP69 rating, making it dust and water resistant. It also comes with military-grade shock resistance and Panda Glass protection.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, VoWiFi, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo
QZSS, and BeiDou. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone measures 166.47 × 78.23 × 8.88mm and weighs approximately 224 grams.
