Both the Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro smartphones feature a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display. This display comes with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, making the gaming and video streaming experience very smooth. The Pro model uses a curved display, which gives it a premium look. The company has introduced these phones in several attractive colors like Moonlight Black, Malachite Green, and Lavender Mist.
For performance, this series is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate chipset. The Tecno Camon 50 Pro comes with 8GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 16GB via virtual memory technology, and 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of photography, the Pro model features a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor (with OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The standard model features a dual camera setup. For selfies, both phones feature a 32-megapixel front camera.
Powerful Battery for 5 Years
The biggest highlight of this series is its massive 6,150mAh battery. The company claims that this battery is capable of maintaining its performance for over 5 years. It supports 45W fast charging.
In terms of software, these phones run on HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Apart from this, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support have been provided for better audio experience.
Tecno Camon 50 Series: Price and Availability
These smartphones are currently available for pre-order on Tecno's Kenyan website. The Tecno Camon 50 Pro is priced starting at approximately ₹27,000 (excluding taxes), and the standard model is priced at approximately ₹24,000. Prices may vary slightly on e-commerce sites. Sales of these smartphones will reportedly begin on February 23rd.
The official date of their arrival in the Indian market is still awaited, but it is expected that they will arrive in India soon around this budget.
