OnePlus 16 Tipped to come with a powerful 200MP camera, design and features

 

OnePlus is soon going to launch its new flagship smartphone OnePlus 16. This phone will be the successor to the recently launched OnePlus 15. Even before the launch of the upcoming phone, initial leaks have started coming out regarding its camera, design and features. According to reports, OnePlus 16 will have a powerful 200MP main camera sensor, which will bring it on par with top Chinese smartphones like Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro. Apart from this, the phone can also be seen with a premium display, upgraded camera system and new design elements. 

OnePlus 16 will have a major camera upgrade

Digital Chat Station says that the Oppo Find N6 and OnePlus 16 may share their main and telephoto camera modules. It's worth noting that the Oppo Find N5 and OnePlus 15 previously shared the LYT-700 main camera, while the Samsung JN5 sensor was used for the telephoto camera. However, the OnePlus 16's launch is still far away and is expected to be unveiled in late 2026. An India launch will follow.

The OnePlus 15 introduced significant changes to both its camera and design. The camera upgrade is significant because OnePlus has now moved away from Hasselblad. The new camera system is powered by the DetailMax Engine.

The OnePlus 15 features a 50MP main wide camera, a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. A 32MP front/selfie camera is also available. The OnePlus 16 is also expected to feature a triple camera setup, but the camera sensors may be different, as Digital Chat Station hinted on Weibo.
