Model numbers revealed from BIS listing
Tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) shared information on X that recently India's Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has certified four new Vivo smartphones. According to the post, Vivo Y51 5G with model number V2544, Vivo V70 Elite 5G with V2548, Vivo V70 with V2538 and Vivo T5x 5G with V2545 have received approval from BIS. Usually BIS certification comes before the official launch of any smartphone, hence it is believed that Vivo may launch more than one new smartphone in India in the coming time.
Vivo V70 series preparations in full swing
Previously, a Vivo phone with model number V2538 was also spotted in the BIS database, which is believed to be the Vivo V70. This smartphone could be the successor to the Vivo V60. While the BIS listing doesn't reveal specifications, it does confirm the expansion of the V-series. Additionally, another Vivo phone with model number V2545 was listed on the BIS, which is believed to be the Vivo T5x 5G. This phone could be an upgraded version of the Vivo T4x 5G.
Vivo V70 Series Models
According to leaks and reports, several models may be launched in the Vivo V70 series, which are expected to include Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite 5G, Vivo V70 FE 5G and Vivo V70 Lite 5G.
Possible specifications of Vivo V70
The Vivo V70 was previously spotted on Geekbench, where it was reported to feature an octa-core processor and an Adreno 722 GPU. This suggests that the phone could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. According to the listing, the phone may run on Android 16. Reports also suggest that the Vivo V70 could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S50 launched in China. The phone is expected to launch in India in January 2026.
Expected price
The Vivo V70 is expected to be priced around ₹45,000, while the Vivo V70 Elite 5G is expected to be priced around ₹50,000.
