Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Tipped to Feature Newly-Launched Exynos 2600 SoC

 

Samsung is preparing to launch its next flip smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 8. According to leaked reports, this phone will come with the new Exynos 2600 processor, which is the world's first 2nm SoC. The phone will have a display with 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, along with high-end camera support and a powerful AI engine. According to reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will have flagship performance and advanced features, making it a strong option in the flip smartphone segment.

According to a report by The Bell, Samsung is planning to use the Exynos 2600 processor in its upcoming flip smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Citing industry sources, the report states that the brand is considering the Exynos 2600 for this new flip phone. The report also states that if there are no major issues with this new chipset, it could be seen in the Galaxy Z Flip 8.


With this move, the South Korean giant will once again use Exynos chipsets in its flip smartphones. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 also features an Exynos chipset. The report also states that rising memory prices will make it even more beneficial for Samsung to use Exynos chips to keep material costs down. This handset will likely launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in July 2026.


Features of Exynos 2600 processor

Samsung recently unveiled its new flagship SoC globally. The Exynos 2600 is based on a 2nm process and advanced GAA (Gate-All-Around) technology. This chipset has a total of eight cores: a C1-Ultra core clocked at 3.8GHz, three C1-Pro cores clocked at 3.25GHz, and six C1-Pro cores clocked at 2.75GHz.

Additionally, the SoC features the Samsung Xclipse 960 deca-core GPU, which is based on the ARMv9.3 architecture, and also features an AI engine with a 32K MAC NPU. The chip supports on-device displays with a maximum resolution of 4K or WQUXGA and a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of camera support, the Exynos 2600 supports a 32-megapixel single camera sensor or a 64MP + 32MP dual camera configuration.
